Insert heart here.
When you're single on Valentines Day, the best thing to do is remember all the other people out there that care about you. In all honestly there are a lot more than you think there are.

A friend.
Have you ever had a friend that has
been there for you no matter what,
and has always been on your side?
I can tell you.
Best thing in the world.

I can tell you.

Google +
Well, I'm sure you've heard of Google + by now. Actually, you may not have. I was talking to people around campus today and they had no idea what it was.
If you're feeling like Facebook is letting you down, it probably is. From the several opinions I've heard, it does nothing but make people wonder why they spend so much time on it. Not to say that Google + would cure your time-wasting habbits, but you'd definitely be wasting your time in a better way. Facebook has gone way too mainstream. Hipsters unite.
And I'm sure that when Google + slips into the mainstream, something else will come up. I'm sad to say that I received my first "game invite" on + yesterday, and it made me die a little inside. That is one of the things I hate about Facebook the most; there are game invites and useless notifications all over the place. It's good to start new in +.
Will I delete Facebook? Probably not. People are always telling me that I have some random thing I need to look at that they've posted in my wall or sent in a private message. In the need to contact people, Facebook is a good place to go. It's pretty developed and almost everyone I know has one. It's only in those moments of hipster pride where I tell Facebook to jump in a ditch. I probably lose hipster points for that, but the communication pros outweigh it.
Anywho, you should join Google +. It's a little lonely on there now.

ANTLERS
I am pretty excited. I bought some tickets to see The Antlers, and if you've even glanced at any of my other blog posts you'll know that I'm sickly obsessed with those people. From the youtube stuff that I've seen, they are excellent live. I remember thinking before I knew they were coming to where I live, "Look at all those people in the audience not even smiling... and they're watching The Antlers. I would kill to see them."
The Squirrel, my '93 Toyota Corola 5-speed, may or may not be able to handle 2 1/2 hour trek to the concert location. Well, I believe that it would make it, and I was gonna take it. However, my parents believe otherwise and are going to somehow let me borrow my dad's Toyota Camry (forgot the year.... can't be less than 2000) for the night.
But it's an automatic...
Bleh. I hate driving automatic cars now. I feel like it's way too easy and I start multitasking to the point where I forget what I'm really doing; driving.

Asocial.
It's really easy to be asocial in college. For me, anyway. I can go to class and run back to my apartment for safety at any time. I suppose that's a really great thing except that I'm not going to meet anyone this way.
I need to do something outside of this apartment. That is my goal for the week. I am going to make friends, danggit.

Foreign Guys.
College so far has been pretty great. Exactly how I expected, but a little better. Living on my own in an apartment has been a blast. Here are a few highlights of my week.
-The pool at my apartment is way nice.
-The student teacher helping teach my Freshman Seminar class is amazing. Foreign, smart, and oh yeah, foreign.
-I drank this coke today that was really great.
-My lab partner in Chemistry is a smart guy who always knows what he's doing. (Thank you!)
I've been trying to be a little bit more positive (just kidding, I have a couple other blogs where I'm a total debbie downer), so here is my attempt.
The Gallery by Muse
Love this so much it's probably unhealthy.
A confession: I just wrote my first real check ever today in order to pay my rent. I looked at that check kinda blankly. Even though I've seen people write them, know what to write on them, and have done it before with fake checks, I wasn't really sure what to do. Thank you google and your infinite wisdom.
I can now drive a 5-speed without stalling out. I consider this a major accomplishment.

Plastic Beach Problem
I can't stop listening to Plastic Beach. This is getting pretty scary. I started doing my college homework and it was stuck in my head so badly that I thought I was listening to it. Luckily I grabbed some headphones and now I really am listening to it, so I don't have to be delusional.
Maybe sometime I'll write something in this blog that is actually important. But maybe not. That's ok. I have many blogs.
